“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
According to the Bible, Jesus said that any act of kindness, mercy, or compassion shown to the most vulnerable, marginalized, or needy people is considered by Jesus as an act done directly to him.
Matthew 25:31-46 is known as the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats, and it describes Jesus as a king who judges people by their actions.
The righteous sheep are welcomed into Heaven because they fed the hungry, gave drink to the thirsty, welcomed strangers, clothed the naked, looked after the sick, and visited the imprisoned.
The sheep ask when they did these things for him, and the king replies, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
The unrighteous goats on the other hand are sent to Hell for neglecting people instead of helping them.
The goats ask when they saw him in need and did not help, and the king replies, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.”
The point of the story is that in order to follow Jesus’ teachings, you have to actually be a good person.
You have to live a life filled with practical love, kindness, and selfless compassion for others.
Especially for the helpless who cannot return the favor, and who can do nothing for you. The voiceless who have low status in society. Like immigrants for example.
These acts of selfless kindness are seen by Jesus as an outward expression of one’s inner faith and relationship with God.
What Jesus is saying here is that the amount of selfless kindness you show others determines whether you’re a good or a bad person.
If you are filled with compassion and kindness for those in need, you’re a good person, and you’re going to Heaven.
If you have no empathy for others, and you treat people in need like shit, you’re an asshole, and you’re going to Hell.
I’m an atheist. I don’t believe in Heaven or that Jesus was the son of a God or a God himself.
But I believe in the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Be kind. Help those in need.
That’s just basic human decency.
Allegedly we’re all God’s perfect creations.
That includes immigrants.
If God is real, he’s gonna be sooo mad at you MAGA Christians for treating his wonderful creations from other countries like human garbage.
That doesn’t make you Christian. It makes you fucking assholes, and you’re going to Hell.
Fun fact: The immigrants being hunted down like animals by ICE thugs are Christians.
All those Latinos being rounded up like subhumans are Christians.
The Orange Antichrist is literally persecuting Christians, while his brainwashed MAGA Nazi cult squeals with delight.
