Well, if this rapid religious and political change is to be believed, it’s very good news. Georgia’s purple-ness may indeed be the strongest indication. But I won’t be a “true believer” until Margery Taylor Green is defeated, never to be heard from again. 🙄

They may not be going to church anymore but I bet they still claim to be Christian. The south STILL votes like they always have done for years and that is based on their so-called Christian values.

“so called” are the

operative words. They have redefined Christianity to the

point where not even Jesus Christ

himself would recognize it.

If they infect the schools with their distorted vision, they certainly should be paying taxes. After all, they’ve been paying for votes and politicians.

If you want a state religion, move to Afghanistan. The way the evangelical Christian’s treat women would fit right

in!

Could we get a transcript instead of AI art and narration? Great piece otherwise.

Agreed. The narrative content has the typical AI-generated fluff and tends to repeat information in a way that makes it sound like a middle schooler's book report, and the images are just too hard for me to watch. It's like they threw every single prompt-generated image up there with no consideration for the narration.

Frauds. I have seen so many dressed up with the variety of "Christian" costumes. Not just christians, every religious group. Sadly they are impostors. They are "clubs". Anything to buy a "policy of good character" that in reality does not exist. It is "made up" like the charlatans/parasites that live off of their donations. Their support covers the price of policy depending on benefits. If you withold payment, your benefits are revoked. There are penalties included as well as interest. Pay up...

With the majority of Christians, I find that the way things look is infinitely more important than the way things are. If one adopts the typical Sunday-morning-go-to-church dress code, he or she is automatically deemed “a good Christian.” You may join us!

I think as young people gained higher educations they began the introspection that led them to question Christianity - and THAT is something you just don’t do inside the walls of Christian society. “Believe or walk away, but never question.

I approve and appreciate the script’s information, but as an artist, I have to say I find the AI illustrations creepy. I would rather have graphs with their citations up on the screen, or actual photos & videos. Besides, AI uses a lot of energy and water to produce, and it does nothing to give real human artists any income to live on. Please stop with the creepy AI slop; the topic is engaging without it. Unless you are illustrating Jesus, which is also an artificial construct; but if so, make him look like he came from the Middle East.

You missed the point.

Several of the values promoted by the most vocal of those in the US who call themselves Christians are directly contrary to the words of the Gospels. Hence "so-called".

As an East Texas native who grew up in the area I see much of what you are describing. I have gradually abandoned my native childhood church and have not affiliated since! I like the idea of having a spiritual life with out a church!

That’s not a commitment, it’s a bastardization of what Jesus taught.

I don't adhere to your so-called Christian values! Your version of Christianity is hateful, cruel and seems to forget what Jesus commanded us to do and be. It's not like his words were complicated! He said exactly what he meant. I'm saying some Christians have managed to bastardize that. If Jesus came back today, the far right would hate him for his "woke" values. Are you one of them???

I read what you wrote, but it is impossible for you, or anyone to speculate the real reasons. I am happy for you that you have that connection and commitment. That is exactly what I learned when I was introduced to religion as a child. It is part of our character, not separate. I find less and less in common with people that profess to be of one religion, or another. Even as I learned the Catholic tradition, I always questioned everything. That is the environment I grew up in. The commandments were real. I think what I find most disturbing is that people may say I am this , or that, and what they reveal is what they want people to believe they are. They also reveal that they have no conscience and no respect for others, or themselves.

I am not a practicing Catholic, nor a cult follower. I do respect other people's choices, as long as they don't violate any boundaries. Then the line has to be redrawn, in case they never learned before.
